Most aesthetic treatments require maintenance every few months. Biorevitalisation is different — in many cases, results can last up to two to three years. It's one of the most underrated treatments we offer at Clinic 8, and one of the most impressive in terms of long-term skin improvement.
What is biorevitalisation?
Biorevitalisation is an injectable treatment that introduces hyaluronic acid directly into the deep layers of the dermis using a series of microinjections. Unlike Profhilo, which uses a very high concentration of hyaluronic acid at five specific points, biorevitalisation typically uses a lower concentration delivered across multiple points in the treatment area — working to improve cellular metabolism and moisture retention throughout the tissue.
The hyaluronic acid acts directly on the skin cells in the dermis, stimulating them to produce more of their own hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin. This is the key to the treatment's longevity — it doesn't just provide external hydration, it triggers the skin to improve from within.
What does it treat?
- Dehydrated, dull or sun-damaged skin — biorevitalisation delivers immediate visible hydration and glow
- Reduced elasticity — the stimulation of collagen and elastin improves firmness and bounce
- Fine lines and early wrinkles — improved hydration and structural support reduces the appearance of fine lines
- Hair health — scalp biorevitalisation directly stimulates hair follicles and sebaceous glands, improving hair strength, shine and thickness
"Biorevitalisation is one of the few treatments where clients come back six months later looking genuinely better than when they left — because the results continue to improve for weeks after treatment."
Where on the body can it be used?
Biorevitalisation can be performed on virtually any area of the body where skin quality needs improvement. The most common treatment areas are the face, neck, décolletage and hands — areas subject to the most UV exposure and therefore showing age-related changes most noticeably. It can be applied at different depths of tissue depending on the specific concern being treated.
What's the treatment like?
The treatment involves a series of small injections across the treatment area. A numbing cream is applied beforehand to ensure comfort, and the procedure typically takes 30–45 minutes. Some mild redness and swelling is normal for 24–48 hours. Results become visible within a few days and continue to improve over the following weeks as cellular processes accelerate.
For most clients, an initial course of 2–3 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart gives the best foundation, with a single maintenance session once every 1–2 years thereafter. If you'd like to know whether biorevitalisation is right for your skin, we'd love to discuss it at your free consultation.
